Compuaid does what is called Level I and Level II recovery which is considered non-invasive. Compuaid has a no recovery no charge policy.

Hard drives fail in 3 distinct ways:

Level I

Logical Repair: Physically healthy drive but has software corruption.

Level II

Media Damage: Corrupted drive, bad blocks, some surface damage to the disk.

Level III

Complete Mechanical failure: Needs a Clean Room recovery.

Compuaid can perform Level I and Level II but Level III is too specialized and it is recommended to have a recovery specialist for this procedure. The cost varies from case to case but the cost with compuaid usually never exceeds $ 180.00* for Level I or Level II. Unfortunately, Level III can exceed $ 2,000.00 and there are limited resources in the area. Compuaid will evaluate the hard drive and give you a flat rate quote. Of course there is no charge if we cannot recover your data.
