Installing a new UPS (battery backup) on a three-server system. The air conditioning unit failed and started blowing out huge amounts of water (it was a visible mist) which caused the UPS to fail and shut down the servers. We have since installed a humidity sensor that will email a warning if this was ever to happen again. BTW, the A/C unit was designed for IT/Server useā¦ go figure. The photos are of the lower half of the rack. The device above (best seen in the second photo) is the server chassis which houses three servers and over 15 terabytes of data.

Taking on a new client. This is a total mess and completely unprofessional looking. Notice a clump of blue cables on the left, that is what I call professional. Hopefully the owner will allow me to spend some time on making this look acceptable. I will post if/when it happens. I have a good example of professional wiring vs unprofessional wiring in the same IT/Server room (on the same board.) I will to post it soon.
